Hawaii School Districts: Cell Phone Policy & Enforcement

Hawaii's Board of Education adopted a statewide student cell phone policy on Feb 12, 2026: no phone use during school hours in elementary and middle school, and none during instructional time in high school, starting in 2026–27. It is board policy, not a statute.
