Phones were the problem. We made them the solution.Phones down. Focus up.

A 20-minute walkthrough with a map of your own campus.

Two sample screens at 10:14 in the morning: a student’s phone, LockedIn until the end of the school day with only school-managed apps open, and the school’s LockedIn dashboard, showing 1,198 students locked in and 4 who need attention.

Everything we collect

World-class emergency tooling.

  1. 1A live map of on-campus student locations, only during an emergency.
  2. 2Direct communication to students who need help.
  3. 3Students always have access to emergency calls.

A sample lockdown: the student’s phone shows Emergency Mode with “I’m safe”, “I need help” and a call button, and the admin app shows the two students who asked for help on a map of the campus.

Live within a week.

Setup takes less than a day. The rest of the week goes to the launch, because a phone policy succeeds or fails on how it starts, and that’s where we spend our time with you.

Launch plan

  1. Day1Kickoff call: we map your campus boundary and bell schedule with you
  2. Days1–2Roster sync from Clever, Veracross, Blackbaud or OneRoster, or a CSV upload
  3. Days2–3A 30-minute training for the deans and front office who will see the alerts
  4. Days3–4The family letter goes home, with our parent FAQ attached
  5. Day5Students install the app and sign in with their school email
  6. Week1Launch week: we watch the dashboard with you and fix what comes up

Every other option needs someone watching.

Questions schools ask first.

Something we didn’t cover? Ask us on the demo, or write to hello@lockedinapp.co.

  • Yes. LockedIn has native apps for both, with the same lock, alerts and dashboard. Students download it once and sign in with their school email.

  • Yes. Students can always call home or 911. At most schools the Phone app is never locked; at schools that use Guided Access or screen pinning, a student can step out of LockedIn at any time, and the dean sees that they did.

  • Very little. During school hours it checks whether the phone is on campus and whether it is locked, plus a few device signals that give away a workaround. It keeps no coordinates, and it never collects texts, calls, the photo library, browsing, contacts, or which apps a student opens. There is no device-management profile, so the school never takes control of the phone. Read the privacy policy

  • They will try, usually in the first week. At most schools phones lock on their own, so there’s no lock-in to skip. Where students lock in with Guided Access or screen pinning, you can require Bluetooth off and school Wi-Fi first, and stepping out early shows up on the dashboard. A student who never installs the app, deletes it or fakes their location is flagged on the dashboard by name, and a second phone needs your approval before it counts. Never installing becomes a violation on its own once you launch.

  • Mark them on their row on the dashboard, with a note on why, or leave them off the roster you send us. Then nothing changes for them. A student left on the roster without the app shows up as Never Installed, and once you launch that counts as a violation every school day.

  • At most schools, add the student to a 504 plan from their row on the dashboard. LockedIn then blocks only social media, games and entertainment for them, so a glucose monitor or another medical app keeps working. At schools that use Guided Access, exempt the student from one rule instead, such as keeping Bluetooth on for a glucose monitor or hearing aid.

  • No. Teachers stop confiscating phones. Alerts go to the administrators you choose, usually a dean or assistant principal, and follow-up emails go out automatically.

  • The setup itself takes about a day: your campus boundary, your bell schedule and your roster. The rest is the launch, meaning staff training, the family letter and students installing the app, and we’re with you for all of it, including the first week.

  • LockedIn is priced per student, per year, with no hardware to buy or replace. We send a written quote based on your enrollment, you can start with a pilot, and Title I schools can apply for subsidized access. How pricing works

  • Most state laws require a phone policy and leave enforcement to the school. LockedIn enforces your policy and keeps the records that show it is working, for your board, your families or your state. Where a state requires phones to be stored away or kept off the student, LockedIn works alongside that storage rather than replacing it. Look up your state’s law
