Project Unicorn Pledge Signatory
We are proud to be a Project Unicorn Pledge Signatory. This means we support secure, privacy-first data sharing between schools and edtech tools, so districts can use products together without messy, risky integrations. We commit to using trusted standards for things like rostering and single sign-on, keeping data use minimal and transparent, and making it easier for schools to manage access and protect student information.
SOPIPA (Student Online Privacy Practices)
LockedIn follows California’s Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA) expectations for student data. We use student information only to provide the school service, and we do not sell student data or use it for targeted advertising or other non-school purposes. We also focus on reasonable security and clear district control over data.
FERPA (Aligned Student Data Practices)
LockedIn is built to support FERPA-aligned student data practices. We limit access to authorized school staff, minimize what we collect, and protect student records with strong privacy and security controls. This helps schools feel confident using LockedIn alongside their own FERPA responsibilities.
